My name is Ameer McGee. I just completed my junior year at Mountain Ridge High School in Glendale, Arizona. I currently play both varsity baseball and basketball at MRHS as well as with various club teams. I’ve been playing baseball since I was 9 and have played every position on the field. I currently play the outfield positions and also pitch while playing for school and club teams. I enjoy the outfield because I feel free when I’m out there and it feels great when you run back and catch a ball at the fence and throw someone out. I spend a lot of extra time working on my swing and have developed a lot of power. I really enjoy being on a team where everyone works hard and plays the game right and has the desire to win. My near-term goals are to contribute to the future success of MRHS baseball and I hope one day to play college baseball. I am a strong student and also have a part time job.
