    About Brayden Bennett

Brayden Bennett is currently a junior at Arrowhead Christian Academy in Redlands, California.
He began playing Little League baseball at 4 years old, playing every year until he transitioned
to travel baseball at age nine. He has been a core player for several teams and has been asked
to guest play for a few teams, always as a starting position player with a very occasional pitcher
only appearance. He made the USSSA All-American games two years in a row, representing the
West team at the Space Complex in Florida in both 2019 and 2020, with the West team placing
4th in 2020. He has played in multiple states including New York, Florida, Arizona, Nevada,
California and most recently, Georgia, with a stellar pitching performance for the PG National
    Tournament.

His Freshman year saw him as a starting pitcher and shortstop for ACA’s JV team. His
phenomenal pitching that season showed his capability of locating consistently with only 14
walks and 70 strikeouts of 160 batters faced in 40 innings pitched. In his pitching debut that
year, he earned 12 strikeouts, which was every defensive out of the game, before it was rained
out at the end of the 4th inning. His pitching, fielding percentage and highest batting average of
the team of .380 earned him the JV MVP award for the season. He also made a handful of
Varsity appearances in his freshman year.

His sophomore year began with a second string, left field position on varsity at ACA and as a
relief pitcher. With a consistent bat to start the season, he quickly earned himself a starting
position in left field and in the batting lineup. He also proved himself as a starting pitcher that
year with a #3 ERA ranking on Max Preps for sophomores in California’s Southern Section
Division IV for most of the season. His stellar ERA dropped to 2.13 while facing the highly
ranked Aquinas High School in a very tough game. He started on the mound that game and for
5 complete innings held Aquinas to only two hits and one run, including keeping a third round
MLB draft pick to 1 for 3 with only a single. Unfortunately with the exhaustion of the intense
game, he lost his stellar ERA ranking in that 6th inning but had definitely solidified his ability to
be an effective and composed starting pitcher. That mound appearance was also instrumental in
earning him the Ambassador League’s All League 2nd team honors for his sophomore year. He
concluded spring 2023 of California’s Division IV ranked:
#49 in ERA – #11 in ERA for sophomores
    #91 in strikeouts – # 17 for sophomores
    #74 in wins – #16 for sophomores

In the off season, he continues to play travel ball, works with a trainer 3 times a week in sport
specific strength training and weight gain program, has a weekly bullpen with former MLB World
Series pitcher Chad Zerbe and batting privates at two different facilities with former MLB
players. Brayden is not afraid of working hard and often puts in extra hitting work and arm care
routines at the field, in the cages and at home.
