Bio

My name is Chase Christenson. I am a Senior at Rio Americano High School, Sacramento, CA. I have held a starting position on Rio’s Varsity Baseball team since Sophomore year. My primary positions are short stop and pitching, with occasional 3rd base and center field play. I currently use five pitches that I use to

For as long as I can remember, I have always been a baseball player. Through the years I have been lucky enough to learn both the physical and mental aspects of the game from many great coaches. I learned the difference from a good baseball player and a great baseball player is loving the game, being coachable, and consistently working to learn and improve my skills. My goal has always been to play great baseball at the next level.

I try to always enjoy the game no matter the performance. I know the importance of being positive and encouraging my teammates. I like to compete hard and focus on hitting and pitching consistency.

As a student athlete, I constantly work hard to balance schoolwork, baseball, and home/social life. I have held a 3.5 + GPA all through high school. Experiencing my Freshman and Sophomore years learning from home during Covid strengthened my ability to self-prioritize and multi-task which I believe will make me successful playing at the college level.

School and baseball take up most of my time, however I also enjoy playing golf, working out with fellow teammates, hanging out with my friends, and spending time with family.
