Walker Still

Baseball: I play football and baseball and plan to play baseball beyond high school. I have always been a catcher and have worked hard on the art both in season and offseason. I love catching but sometimes also play 3^rd base and enjoy the corner where I can leverage catching glove work and arm strength. Physically, I am known as a fast, athletic catcher with a quick release and strong arm who drives the ball. Mentally, I like bringing fire to the dugout, supporting my teammates, and strategizing with my coaches. My greatest personal baseball achievement this year was mastering balancing fire and passion with moving on after failure, I will always remember what my coach said to me this year that clicked.

Family: I’ve lived in the same town my whole life with my parents (Matt and Jenn), my sister (Menzie). Menzie is in college at the University of Oregon. Menzie and I are close friends. My grandparents are also an important part of my life. I have close friends who I have known my whole life who are my extended family.

Other about me: I hope to study finance and economics in college. I almost live in the gym and love strength training. I enjoy snowboarding in the winter. I like to read and am currently reading Stephen King’s the Institute. You may not believe it but I don’t like tv or video games and I’ve tried, too boring. I am famous for vertical backflips and surprise people with dunking a basketball.
